Lancashire Council Council, enabling wealthy rural communities to shop faster.

Lancashire County Council will bring superfast broadband to 97% of the county by 2014 at speeds in excess of 30 Mbps. Superfast broadband is already available to approximately two-thirds of Lancashire - the less affluent urban areas.

The latest survey of MP's backgrounds is very disappointing. (Nuffield election studies)

It shows the rise and rise of the professional politician, now the largest group of MP's (90).

The most shocking aspect of our current representation is the number of manual workers which will reflect no doubt the number of working class MP's.

The average amount allocated to each region is £47,900,897. However, the North West which has chronic housing problems is to receive a total of £37,114,439; a full £10.8 million less than the average regional allocation. 

If we break this down further and look at the funding which has been allocated for the five local authorities of East Lancashire, we can see an even meaner picture emerge.

Swift evictions have occurred on Arden Hall and Huncoat playing fields already. 

It may seem harsh but years of being fair have resulted in unreasonable and unruly behaviour, an increase in petty criminal acts and illegal sites left looking like rubbish tips.
